Hear what our audience has to say

Performance Reviews

Today’s performance was just brilliant. You all put so much effort in bringing history home for our audience. The music, story, costumes, set, and sound couldn’t have been better.
It was great to hear the positive feedback from Tamaques teachers. I laughed with one staff member who remembered the Pushcart Players from growing up. She commented on how memorable it was for her then… and now! As I mentioned to one of your fellow performers, it is incredible that you are continuing a tradition and telling the wonderful story, Ellis Island- Gateway to America.
I was genuinely surprised at the level of interest from our students. The questions were curious, respectful and thoughtful! I loved when one student asked if the play was a true story!?!! Thank you for your detailed explanations and your willingness to teach beyond the classroom. You have inspired many young minds through your work.
Our Tamaques community thanks you again for visiting us and we look forward to your return.

“Please extend our sincere thanks to the entire company for such a rewarding, educational and awesome production of Lift Every Voice: A Letter to the Editor.  The students were enthralled with the play’s dialogue, music and the interactive multimedia presentation.  Teachers were impressed in the way that the play addressed such complex issues such as integration and the various civil rights protests in a way that was relatable for students.  Again, thank you for this wonderful opportunity for our students.  We hope to partner with you again.”

“Gerald and Pushcart Players were a pleasure to work with. We had two different school-wide Zoom presentations of Tales from Around the World. Gerald adapted the stories for the ages of our audiences and kept students from Pre-K through 5th grade engaged and entertained! We all learned so much from his stories and worldly experiences!”
