Sam Tucker

Director of Production and Development

Sam Tucker joined Pushcart Players in 2013 as a Production Stage Manager and now serves as the company’s Director of Production and Development. Over the past decade, he has helped shape Pushcart’s voice both on and off the stage—overseeing communications, development strategy, and touring operations.

Sam’s journey in theater began early—after being traumatized at age three watching his mother get eaten by Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors. You may know Sam from his star turn as the Artful Dodger in Camp Lakota’s 1999 production of Oliver!.

Before joining Pushcart, Sam worked with Luna Stage and Forum Theatre. He holds a degree in English Literature with a minor in Creative Writing from Ithaca College, and is also an experienced writer for both stage and screen. Alongside his administrative and creative work, Sam is skilled in audio and lighting production and continues to support technical elements of Pushcart’s touring shows.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, writing, and spending time with his wife, Gillian, and their cat, Betty.
