Keara Hailey Gordon is a NJ certified teacher of Theatre K-12 with a performing arts background of over 35 years. She and her husband recently co-founded Practically Dramatic, LLC educational consultants, specializing in the teaching and implementation of dramatic and performing arts including public speaking and communication skills. Keara has appeared on stage and screen, beginning her professional acting career in 1986 where she portrayed the role of the Young Whitney Houston in the music video for the #1 hit song The Greatest Love of All. Some of Keara’s favorite roles on stage include: The Witch in Into the Woods (Stagecraft Studio); Charlaine in Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Irving Street Rep Theatre, National Tour); Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors (Lycian Center for the Performing Arts); Piglet in Winnie the Pooh Christmas Carol and Pinocchio in the Pinocchio (Running Rabbit Theatre Company). The most poignant life changing role was Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz in 2002 at the Forum Theatre in Metuchen. It was then that she met her husband Eben who played the Tin Man. Now after 21 years and two sons, Miles (15) and Emory (11), she is forever grateful to Ellen and Paul for casting them in the same show. The performing arts has become a family affair, with Emory catching the acting bug, performing on stage and even alongside Keara and Eben as he did in Into the Woods. Miles is a budding filmmaker and voice actor with a popular youtube channel. After a hiatus, Keara is thrilled to be back performing and teaching with Pushcart Players!
